Removing the Wall

We have removed the relatively new partition wall between the kitchen and the living area. We have also removed the doors to both these rooms and opened up the wall between the hall and the kitchen. The view is amazing and both rooms are much brighter and lighter. It's a bit of a mess at the moment, lots of tidying up to do!

Sorry about the quality of these, I took them on my phone so they are a bit fuzzy.

Living Room Fireplace

Yesterday we removed the block work around the old fireplace ready to put the new one in. It turned out to be a huge hole full of a lot of rubble!

The Bedroom Move

This weekend (5th May) we have moved our bedroom from the living room into the newly painted bedroom. Over 2 weekend we have managed to fill nearly all the holes in the walls and ceilings and do a couple of coats of paint and some lining paper. Dave has also started work on a built in wardrobe next to the fireplace. On Saturday we moved all of our things out of the living room so we could start work in there.

Sunny Weekend Walk

When we had a lovely sunny weekend we decided to take some time off and go walking along the canal.

Bathroom: Stage 2

After lots of weeks of  plumbing and boring stuff we finally have a bath (which has to be filled with buckets but is still a big improvement) and a toilet which flushes!
